As the Managing Director of Compass Capital Management, Thomas is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the firm’s staff and all client relationships. He develops and implements all client service initiatives, investment allocation recommendations, and technology enhancements for the firm.

After more than thirty years in the financial services industry, his goal remains the same: Thomas strives to make a difference in the lives of his clients by solving problems with creative solutions, empathy, and the highest level of service.

Thomas began his career in finance with E.F. Hutton, then as a private corporate controller, then with Dean Witter Reynolds. He purchased Compass Capital Management in April of 1996 after serving as Vice President for five years.

Thomas graduated from Ferris State University with a BSBA, Northwestern Michigan College with a ASMM, and The Great Lakes Maritime Academy as a United States Merchant Marine Officer, with a BSMT. He divides his time between Woodbury, Connecticut and Burlington, Vermont with his wife, Ann, and three children. When not working with clients, Tom enjoys spending time with family and staying active by biking, hiking, running, sailing, and playing hockey.
